Position Title: Network Engineer - Senior 
Location: Peterson, SFB (on-site)

Position Description:

Under general direction, manages the purchase, installation, and support of network
communications, including LAN/WAN systems. Responsible for evaluating current systems.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.  Provides work leadership and training to lower level network engineers. Requires expert knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks, and applications.

Performance shall include:

  • Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer system
  • Applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
  • Designing, implementing and managing high availability/clustering and disaster recovery environment
  • Supporting establishment of plans and templates in line with the overall technical architecture format and program infrastructure platform
  • Completing technical documentation to design, test, implement, train, and transition solutions to operational support
  • Troubleshooting and deep dive into VMware infrastructure. Other application experience is helpful: Exchange Server, Active Directory, Azure, VPN, and other relevant IT related technologies
  • Monitoring, administer, and maintain vCenter modules and configurations
  • Supporting implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of VMware components to include vCenter Server, ESXi Hosts, Standard/Distributed vSwitches, vSphere Data Protection, Operations Manager, etc.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining a hybrid cloud integrate with multiple public cloud service providers
  • Researching/assisting in development, and/or participating in hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of large enterprise applications. Includes troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system production issues, supporting deployment of other Storage and OS configuration components, automation and upgrade, Continuity of Operation, backup and recovery
Required Experience:
  • Current U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance w/ SCI and a CI-Polygraph eligibility
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • 7 - 9 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience (4 years)
Certifications:
  • Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of the date of hire
Security Clearance:
  • Current clearance as defined in the Task Order
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Other Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resource
